Method
Preheat oven 180ºC fan forced.
- Pastry: Sift both flours in a large mixing bowl then add sugar and combine.
- Combine milk with melted margarine then using a fork beat egg white into milk until blended. Pour into flour and fold together. If needed, use your hands to work the mixture.
- Roll out pastry onto a well-floured surface until you get a round shape approximately 32cm. Roll up pastry on the rolling pin to help lift it onto a flat baking tray that has been coated with cooking spray.
- Filling: Combine apples and berries then place in centre of pastry.
- Fold pastry edges over fruit so it has an edge all the way around pie. Brush pastry edge with skim milk then sprinkle sugar over pastry top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.
Suitable to be frozen.
