3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons skim milk
200g very lean pork mince
100g sausage mince
½ teaspoon crushed garlic (in jar)
½ teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon salt-reduced beef stock powder
pepper
cooking spray

Method

  1. Combine breadcrumbs with milk, leave to one side.
  2. Place all ingredients into a mixing bowl. Use your hands to work the mixture until well combined.
  3. Divide mixture into 6, then roll and shape each piece into a 12cm long sausage shape.
  4. Place sausages on a flat tray that has been coated with cooking spray. Place under griller. Turn frequently to brown sausages.

Suitable to be frozen.

Dietitian's tip

Lean pork, lean beef and lean chicken are high in protein, low in saturated fat and contain many vitamins and minerals. A recent study substituted lean pork for beef and chicken and this led to less body fat and better heart health.
