3 tips to help you get back on track
Have you had some bad habits creep in over the winter months? During winter most people tend to hibernate. The thought of jumping out of bed at 6am when it is dark and cold can daunt even the most health conscious person.
Spring lifts our spirits with longer daylight hours and warmer weather making it the perfect time to get back on track with health and exercise routines.
Here are my three tips to get you back on track:
- Get inspired. Try on your favourite summer outfit from last year and see how it fits now. If it’s a bit snug, take this as a sign that you need to shed a few kilos before summer kicks in. Another good idea is to put on your swimsuit and take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror. Do you like what you see? If not then do something about it, now!
- Spring clean your pantry and fridge. It’s time to clear our any food that won’t support your new spring body. Write a menu plan for the week and be sure to include lighter, healthier meals with more fresh fruit and veggies. Find some inspiration in my seven cookbooks.
- Schedule in some exercise. It’s time to get back outside and exercise. This is such a beautiful time of the year so enjoy what spring has to offer and get healthy at the same time. 30 minutes of exercise is only 2% of your day – Don’t wait for exercise to happen, make it happen!
Now is the time to identify any bad habits that have caused you problems over winter and look for new ways to shed those unwanted kilos.
