It was 2008, I was in grade 12 and the graduation formal was looming, a time where everyone gets dressed up and looks pretty. While all the other girls were excited about getting their dresses, I was embarrassed and scared not knowing if I would even be able to find a nice dress that fitted. A friend gave me a beautiful dress, but when I tried it on it was still slightly too small. I was 110kg and this was when I finally decided that enough was enough. My Mum had Annette’s cook books so I started with the 28 day weight loss plan in book 5 and began exercising. By end of year I had lost 10 kilos and my formal dress had to be taken in! Over the next 3 years I continued to change my lifestyle and overall lost 55 kilos and have kept it off since.
After having 4 babies in 4 years I hit the scales at 108kg! With help from your fantastic recipes, exercise and changing my eating habits I was able to lose 39 kilos and maintain it. I now weigh 69kg. From a size 18 to a size 10 in 2 years, cholesterol down from 8.9 to 4.1 and a more confident, happier and healthier person.
I attended one of Annette’s one day retreats several years ago weighing in at 206kg. I learned a lot and took hold of my life. Thanks to Annette I am now 110kgs lighter. One quote that stuck with me is – My Future is in My Hands.
I am doing really well since the retreat (March 2012). I had lost 26kg before the retreat and have since lost another 16kg!!! With only 3.1kg to lose to get to my goal weight. I am 51 years old and I cannot even remember ever being 73.1kg.
The retreat was timely for me, I had lost around 26 kgs before but put it all back on, so it was just the right place for me to be. It was a great source of encouragement and inspiration, I believe this is why I have been so successful. My husband and two teenage boys love all the new recipes I have been trying from your cookbooks. The battle is won when they like them. I even made low fat chocolate slice and muffins when I had people over for Easter.
I feel single-minded and I have no doubt that I will get to my goal weight as I have already reached half of targets on my Goal Poster….The retreat was a wonderful experience, one that I will never forget.

My commitment at the workshop (March 2012 Workshop Retreat) was to lose 9 kilos to reach my desired goal weight of 68 kilos. Well, TADA! Today I weighed in and I have lost 10 kilos. I am so happy, feel (and look!) terrific, and I'm fitter and I'm sure healthier. Thank you so so much for your inspiration and motivation, and the knowledge and skills you have given me to reach my goal. Now it's maintenance!!!
Hi all. I'm Ann and I attended the last retreat (May 2011). I can't begin to tell you how much I came away with from the retreat. Absolutely fantabulous!! You are doing yourselves the biggest favour by attending. Annette is one in a million, along with all the beautiful, energetic, motivating people who surround her. Yes I've lost weight but my mindset has changed too. It didn't happen overnight, but it will happen. That's why I'm going back for more !!!!!!!!

I have been a fan of Annette’s cookbooks since book 1 was launched so when I decided to get serious about losing weight I knew where to turn. My wake-up call came in August 2012 when I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I started using Annette’s recipes and meal plans to get the weight off and also signed up for the 12 week mentoring program which really helped keep me focused and motivated and taught me new things. I am now happy to report my cholesterol has dropped from 5.3 to 3.4, my A1C level is now a healthy 5.3% and I have lost 40 kilos.
I attended Annette’s 3 Day Workshop Retreat in May 2011 weighing in at 84kg. By the March 2012 Workshop Retreat I had shed 5 kilos and was feeling fantastic. I attended the retreat the 2nd time to spend time with like minded people to gain the encouragement and support I needed to continue my journey. Annette’s retreats have given me the tools and self belief I need to lose the weight and keep it off. To date I have lost 15 kilos using Annette’s tasty recipes and weightloss plan.
Being a food addict, I had tried MANY diets with the same mediocre results, only to put the weight back on. However I have achieved my greatest success while not dieting at all! With the help of the Symply Too Good cookbooks, I've found the healthy new me I'd been so desperately searching for. Having slipped a few times, I find the Masterclass (Book 6) is a great tool to get back on track and I've now lost over 38 kilos.
When people say "have you lost weight?",and "how did you do it?", i just say "It's Symply Too Good To Be True" and it is. I have lost nearly 35 kgs in 12 months without really trying. I am now down to 65 kgs, and never once have i felt hungry. The books are easy to use, quick to make, and most of all very very yummy. Plus Annette is always willing to help whenever I have emailed her. It is not a diet, its a lifestyle change, and yes it is Symply Too Good To Be True, and oh so easy.
